How To Change Your Agoda Booking

Agoda.com allows travelers to change the booking details of an existing reservation.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to change your dates, the primary guest name and the credit card details on your Agoda booking.

How To Change Your Booking Dates

First, sign into your Agoda account.

Next, click on your account name in the upper-right corner of the home page, then click “My bookings” in the drop-down menu. Below “Upcoming Bookings”, find the booking you want to amend, then click “Edit booking” (screenshot below).

Next, you’ll see “Change dates” beside the check-in and check-out dates. Click this to adjust your dates.

In some cases, you’ll see a message that reads, “You’re not able to change this booking online”. If so, you must contact Agoda’s Customer Support directly and they’ll assist you further.

How To Change The Guest’s Name On Your Booking

*If transferring your booking to another person, you must change your booking’s primary guest name.

Find the booking in the Upcoming Bookings section in your account, then click “Manage guests” in the Guest name row (screenshot below).

Enter the new guest’s name in the pop up box.

The name should match the guest’s ID/passport. If it doesn’t, the person might be rejected at check-in. As with date changes, hosts reserve the right to refuse a change of primary guest. To avoid this, message your host to let them know why you’re making the change.

How To Change Your Credit Card Details After Booking

If you’ve chosen to pay for your booking later, you can change your card details before the final charge is applied - but you’ll have to contact Agoda directly. Agoda prefers to handle credit card details via phone rather than email (to minimize potential fraud issues).

Helpful Tips!

  • You’ll receive an updated Booking Confirmation email after making any booking changes.

  • You’ll be shown the price differential for your new booking after chaining the dates. If the new price is less than the original, you’ll be refunded the difference. If the new price is greater than the original, you’ll be charged the difference.

  • Hosts determine their own date change policy. Some hosts prohibit date changes, particularly for reservations in their busy seasons.

  • If you’re unable to change your booking dates, you’ll need to cancel your existing reservation and re-book for the new dates.

    • If your booking offers free cancellation, but the “cancel by” date hasn’t passed yet, you can cancel the booking free of charge. For non-refundable bookings, you will be charged a cancellation fee for cancelling (outlined in the host’s cancellation policy).

    • You can find a host’s cancellation policy in the “Booking conditions” section of your booking in the Upcoming Bookings page.
